Operation Herbie is thrilled to announce that our Presenting Sponsor, Roy Foss Automotive Group, will host the Herbie Rocks launch at their showroom on May 3rd. The auction will continue on eBay from the May 3rd launch date until May 13th.

Roy Foss Automotive Group has very generously donated the lease of a Hummer for two years, valued at $50,000, to kick off Herbie Rocks 2008. We are delighted to have received a VIP Canada’s Walk of Fame, All Access Gala package, valued at $5,000.

Signed electric guitars and music packages from Bryan Adams, Billy Talent, Snoop Dogg, Three Days Grace and Nickelback, and art by legendary Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones, represent a few of the incredible items donated from the music community. Autographed Wayne Gretzky, Gordie Howe, Bobby Orr and Sidney Crosby jerseys, along with a signed Tiger Woods commemorative piece from the 2005 Masters, represent some of the world’s finest athletes. These and many more generously donated items really capture the joy and compassion of giving.

Gord Martineau and Citytv wanted to help Operation Herbie reach many more children requiring medical assistance; subsequently, Citytv Herbie Day was born out of their desire to help these kids in need. On June 21, 2006, under a sunny sky, the first annual Citytv Herbie Day was held on the front lawn of The Hospital for Sick Children. Citytv broadcast on-location throughout the day in order to draw attention to the Herbie Fund, and to encourage our community to make donations in support of this fund. Thanks to the effort of Gord and Citytv, Herbie Fund was an incredible success raising $260,000 over the last two years. Gord and Citytv have chosen to continue their commitment to the Herbie Fund by once again signing on as our title sponsor for the third annual Citytv Herbie Day

Mistletoe Ball and Silent Auction

Operation Herbie's largest fundraising event is the prestigious Mistletoe Ball and Silent Auction. This years glamorous evening will be held within the Michael Lee Chin Crystal building at the Royal Ontario Museum. Enjoy live entertainment, cullinary cuisine and celebrate life while truly "Making A World of Difference" for so many children in need.

This event raises over $400,000 annually with all proceeds going to The Herbie Fund at The Hospital for Sick Children. This evening is guaranteed to provide a festive beginning to the holiday season while providing children in need with life-saving and life-altering surgery.
